Glossary of Terms & Phrases

So it turns out that I sometimes use terms and phrases that are fairly unique to me. While I like to think this is because I'm a trend setter it's more likely that I'm a delusional island of quips and quotes known only by myself. To help you all understand what I'm talking about when I use one of these phrases I've decided to maintain a robots in the paint glossary. If you don't find something you're looking for on this page that you've seen me use on a blog post, feel free to let me know and I'll add it.

Thanks.

Bob Kluge - (See Klugey) Also known as Robert S. Kluge - Bob Kluge is a made up name for a real person who exists in the world, but whom most of us don't even know about. You may have heard it said that no matter what you're complaining about, that you should remember there's always someone worse off than you are. While that's true for most of us, there must be one guy at the end of that chain of people who are worse off, who officially is worse off than everybody else. I call this person Bob Kluge. He's the guy who has it worse off than the rest of us.

Candidate 45 - The name I use to refer to our xenophobic, misogynistic, sex predator of a president, elected in November of 2016. His name will never be uttered by me on these pages.

Klugey - (See Bob Kluge) A real term that basically means a ludicrous assortment of incompatible and unworkable components. For my purposes, if something is klugey its essentially a mickey mouse job, either held together with spit and duct tape or some kind of rickety old thing or perhaps even just poorly designed. The correlation between Klugey & Bob Kluge being that Bob is a sad situation and so is anything klugey.

IMNSHO - This one should be well known but just in case, it means... In My Not So Humble Opinion.

It's all sixes - The saying "six of one, a half dozen the other" could be more succinctly be summed up by my version... it's all sixes.

Tastes like my left foot's asleep - This is a saying that I stole from my father-in-law. In short it just means something that doesn't taste good. But probably comes from the concept that if you're left foot were asleep and you couldn't feel yourself biting your own foot, you probably would not be thinking how delicious it is.
